The West Valley Design Group, WVDG, offers a wide range of opportunities for West Valley College students to develop and enhance their marketable skills, knowledge and abilities by creating solutions that meet the needs of real world clientele. WVDG provides hands-on experience to work with clients in creating concepts, address real world situations and develop collaborative skills required in the work place.

Students from a variety of disciplines (design, writing, programming, photography, etc) are assessed by WVDG faculty and assigned to various roles on paid and non-paid projects to create multi-page Internet websites and print solutions. Projects are composed of students with different levels of creative, technical and business skills. Team oriented projects expose students to different styles and approaches to produce commercial level products that can be included in their portfolios. It is the goal of the WVDG to foster a professional, fun, energetic, learning environment that promotes opportunities, skills and success in the digital media market.
