About Rollovers

Rollovers are graphics that change appearance in a Web browser when you move the mouse over them or click them. All rollovers work the same way, one graphic change place with another one when your mouse rolls over or clicked. A simple rollover is the one in which an image appears beneath the pointer when the pointer rolls over or clicks an image. A simple rollover swaps an image on "Frame 1" with another image which is below it on "Frame 2".

Creating a simple rollover

1. Select the image you want to use for your rollover, as shown below

    

2. Choose > insert > slice, which attach a slice to your image, as shown below.

3. Open the frame panel, window > frames, and from the frame panel click on top arrow and choose duplicate frame, as shown below.

4. Select the new frame and place your second image in the space on the canvas occupied by your slice.
5. To apply the rollover behavior, select the slice and window > behavior panel to open the behaviors and then click on the add action (+) and select simple rollover. As shown below.
