Tool Box Each icon in the toolbox represent the tools you can use in Pagemaker. To select a tool you just need to click it. In the tool palette you can find pointer tool to select, move, and resize objects. Rotating tool to rotate objects. Rectangle tool to draw squares and rectangles. Ellipse tool to draw circles and ellipses. Hand tool to scroll page. Text tool to type and edit text, and so on. The image below shows the tool palette.
Control palette This palette helps you to control and edit text. In this palette you can format your characters. Meaning you can choose your font type, size, tracking, kerning, leading, and so on. The image below shows the control palette.
Master Page When working with multi-page publications,
your design will be more cohesive if each page is built on a common foundation,
or master page. A master page contains elements such as headers, footers,
and page numbers.
Setting up Pages Setting Margins The margins that you specify in your document setup dialog
box is going to be applied to the document master page. Remember that
when you select double sided, margin are set as inside and outside, and
when double sided is deselected, PageMaker changes inside and outside
to left and right margins. The image below shows the document setup and
