Document Window

To be able to see everything in your window, choose view > fit in window. If you can not see the tool palette, choose view > show tools from menu and the same for measurements palette and document layout. The image below show your document window.

Working with the Tool Palette
Some of the tools (such as the Item tool and Content tool) are always there in the Tool palette. Other tools (such as the oval text box tool) are hidden, and are visible only if you click on the icon in the tool palette. As shown below.

Adding Pages
Every new QurakXPress document opens with one page already in place. For brochure you need to add a page to your document since it will be oriented on two sides of the page.
1. In the Document Layout palette, click on the small rectangular page icon at the top, labeled "A-Master A"
2. Drag the icon down under the first page. Release the mouse when you see the plain rectangle under the page. The second page is automatically created for you right where you drop the icon.
(If you drop the new page in the wrong place, just drag it to where you want it in the palette.) The image below shows how to add a page.
